Lifelike leaves

Except for the shiny UV protectant, the leaves resemble Japanese Boxwood shrubs. I have to handle carefully since fluffing out the bush per the instructions resulted in a leaf pod coming loose.The trunk is much longer than an actual shrub, so it seems these would look more natural in a planter that hides the long trunk.The anchor is plastic, good for longevity in the ground, but difficult to get vertical in rocky soils since it bends so easily. Plus gravel damages the shank very easily.The only success I found comes by creating a straight, oversize hole with a metal stake, then insert the anchor, pack and soak the soil so the anchor stays vertical until the soil dries out. Once the soil dries and the anchor is firm, the plant was able to stay vertical without leaning.I'm hoping the UV protection lasts in our hot Arizona climate.

Two symmetrical Boxwood topiaries that are thick and lush.

If you live in a very sunny (and hot) area in the summer or rainy area in the winter (like me), you know that fake plants help keep your garden looking green all year. Plus (since they are plastic) they are drought resistant and won’t ever die or turn brown. We have water restrictions in the summer (almost every year) so having fake plants is a must for me.These Boxwood topiaries are quite impressive. The leaves have a nice variation, and the green tones mimic natural growth. The UV-resistant coating is perfect for our hot sun and will help them last year after year without fading.The stakes are more like spikes and will hold nicely in the ground, and the two pieces connect tight for sturdiness in adverse weather (which we sometimes get in winter). And, at just under 28 inches, they have enough height to make a statement without looking overwhelming. And with two, you can do something clever and symmetrical in your yard to elevate these and your home nicely.Since two come in one box, you will need to “fluff” these up. But there are instructions on how to do so (which I have never seen before). But given how thick these are, it is totally warranted. I highly recommend these and I can’t wait to place them in my yard during my Spring planting!

A little pricey, but they look pretty good from a distance

Some people have a green thumb, but I think mine is black! The soil here is terrible. It's a hard clay that just doesn't seem to be plant friendly. So I thought maybe some fake greenery might spruce things up in my yard.This set is a bit pricey, and includes 2 small faux topiary trees that measure about 15 inches tall, not counting the stem. They arrived a little squished, but a quick bit of fluffing and puffing helps them look pretty good. The leaves are green with a glossy finish, and while they do look obviously artificial up close, from a few feet away they pass as realistic enough to add a nice pop of greenery to my yard.The listing mentions both “42 bundles” and “20 stems,” which is a little confusing. Structurally, the branches are sturdy plastic that probably have a metal wire inside, and the trunk is wrapped in a printed material meant to look like bark. It’s not seamless, but from a distance it blends in well. Each piece includes a plastic stake so you can secure it in soil or a pot.They're probably meant to accentuate indoor pots, but I'm using them outdoors since they're advertised as UV and fade resistant. haven’t tested them outdoors long-term yet, but winter is coming here and they feel durable enough for outdoor use. But after spending a few minutes fluffing and shaping the branches, they filled out nicely and made a big difference. Beautiful Boxwood Topiaries!

These Topiary Boxwood Tree’s are perfection! They come wrapped up in plastic and you get to fluff them up. There are also spikes included so you can place them in the ground if you like. I am putting mine in planter boxes that I bought. There is an instruction paper that gives you a couple ways to easily fluff up these topiaries. You can use a hair dryer on low setting for a few seconds or use warm water. I chose the hair dryer and it worked perfectly! You just heat up a section then fluff it up and work your way around the whole thing. It worked so great and it was easy! I placed these in my planter boxes and they look beautiful! These topiaries are durable and nothing popped off when fluffing up, so I know they are a great quality. They are also a great value for your money! They add the perfect pop to the decor in front of your house. I would definitely buy these again!
