I bought the ABSWHLM Floating Wall Shelves and really like them. They look modern and clean, and they make my wall look more organized. The quality feels sturdy, and installation was simple. Great value for the price! Overall, if you want something affordable, stylish, and practical to upgrade your room, I would recommend these shelves. They really made my space look more put-together and cozy.
I bought two sets of these and only needed three so I gave one to my son. They are absolutely perfect for our needs. The light underneath is definitely an added bonus and is great for ambiance.
Sturdy
Will need a drill for drywall plugs, large Philips screw driver….make sure the arrows are up on the brackets, I lost directions before my drill came in, and luckily someone took photo of the instruction sheet! So I did it they look great & have glass on shelves, so confident they are strong enough!
Not the quality expected. There were little rounds spots on both sides of one shelf. I never even looked at the second shelf as this would not meet my needs.
I was really looking forward to these floating shelves by ABSWHLM due to reading other people's high reviews before I placed my order. The shelves do have a beautiful wood grain and are made of super lightweight solid wood. However, they fell below my expectations for these reasons:- The wall mounting bracket is only 15.75" long so you cannot mount this shelf stud-to-stud. I don't understand why they wouldn't have just extended this metal mount to have holes that are 16" apart since the shelf itself is 24" long.- Both of the shelves I received have two mismatching corner finishes on the front side of the shelf. As you can see in attached pics, one corner is slightly rounded and the opposite corner is a sharp 90 deg cut.- Shown in another pic, one shelf arrived with a very sticky residue on it that was tough to remove.- One shelf arrived with some damages in the corner, indentations on the face of the shelf that was not caused by packaging or shipment.- The wood is only stained and there is no polyurethane or any sort of finishing coat on it for protection. You can feel the raw wood surface and smell the stain residue.
These are absolutely fantastic. I was expecting cheap particle board, but these are actual wood. The stain looks very classy, with the wood grain texture showing through.Installation was slightly challenging, but not because of the shelves themselves. These shelves come with standard plastic drywall anchors. We have an old house with lath and plaster walls, and the included hardware would not have been sufficient for mounting these. We had to purchase heavier duty toggle bolts to ensure that everything mounted firmly and stayed in place. If you're dealing with drywall, I would think that the included anchors will do suitably. Though if you're planning on putting anything heavy onto the shelves, I'd still recommend using heavier grade anchors just in case.We're only planning on putting some action figures and small things on them, so we don't have much concern about the weight at this point, but given some of our challenges when mounting them to the wall, we're going to avoid anything especially heavy. The shelves are rated to hold 50 lbs, so I feel like they should be sturdy when holding things like books, plants, figures, etc.
