Sturdy, well crafted and thick. Soft, easy to arrange Norfolk branches, real metal bells.
We have a lot of artificial wreaths, trees and plants. Mrs Aloha Friday has a much larger collection of real plants, but sometimes faux is the way to go. In this case, she wanted a wreath for the backdoor all winter. Real is expensive and doesn't last that long. This was a nice choice because it's not religious or holiday related. It's just a simple wreath, with Norfolk pine, red berries and eucalyptus leaves. Mrs AF says you could embellish it with seasonal picks. Think of it like a Christmas tree.The bells are beautiful. They have a faux gold finish and have an exotic, bohemian feel to them, more so than traditional jingle bells. They really work, too. They're metal and attached with hemp rope. They give the wreath a touch of sophistication and interest.Everything else is plastic, and you can tell if you look close. So? If you like it, who cares? It's your house! If you want an artificial wreath on your front door where people will stand right up to it, you should have one. If you want to hang a few from your upstairs windows at a distance where folks can't see, that's a great idea too. It's up to you.For what this is, it's excellent quality. The eucalyptus leaves are that thin, crispy material you get on the worst faux plants, but in this, they aren't wrinkled and the printed design isn't crooked, so they actually work. Just don't touch the leaves, says Mrs AF. ;o) The berries are shiny plastic, probably foam interior. Weather is harsh on any outdoor decor. The pine branches should last season after season, long after the eucalyptus and berries fade away. You could remove those and replace them with all sorts of seasonal leaves, pinecones and other picks.This is a good option if you don't want to spend a lot of time arranging your wreath. It's not constructed of the typical stiff, pokey Christmas tree pine. Norfolk is soft and fluid, and they do a great job mimicking it. We like the look of this a lot. It's woven well and makes a beautiful pinwheel shape.The wreath is full, which to Mrs AF is the number one important thing in a wreath. A skimpy wreath isn't worth the investment. Speaking of which, we would both feel comfortable recommending this in a $25 ballpark. You might want to wait for a sale or a coupon is offered if the price is higher, as it is at the time of this writing. Even though it's thick, well constructed and sturdy, and the pine branches are very nice, the inexpensive eucalyptus and berries used don't justify the price.Hope this helps. very beautiful artificial wreath for Christmas
This wreath is absolutely beautiful & looks very realistic once I wool the eucalyptus looking leaves off it. I love the bells on it. I hung it on my door that leads from my garage to my kitchen & I loved hearing the bells ring letting me know that someone was coming in the house. This wreath exceeded what I expected because artificial wreathes can look very fake, but this one looked very real & held up great on a very busy door.
