Beautiful, Durable Boxwoods — Just Air Them Out First

At the end of the day, these are 5-star topiary balls for looks and quality… but I’m rating them 4 stars because of the toxic odor when you first pull them out of the plastic. The smell was way too strong indoors, so I had to take them straight outside to off-gas (which was fine since they’re going outside anyway).Once the odor issue was handled, they were easy. The instructions suggest soaking in hot water, but after messing with the first one, I found hot water really wasn’t necessary—they fluffed out beautifully with a little prodding.They look gorgeous, feel well made, and seem like they’ll hold up through the harsh Florida summers. The leaves are a bit thicker than some other brands I’ve tried, and even with all the fluffing (and me being a little rough on the branches), not a single leaf broke off. That honestly impressed me.

I ordered these 21.6 Inch Artificial Boxwood Topiary Ball Trees with Spike, Set of 4 tor my yard porch area. Im trying to decorate and design a little on my porch so it isn't so simple and empty plain. And I'm glad I decided to add these to the mix it works out amazingly. The are just as big as the show they are which surprised me. They are nice and full. I don't think u need hot water to fluff them but all I did was fill my tub with straight hot water and it looosened them up some. So the boiling water jot needed. But I'm so happy. I have a black thumb so I can't do real but I want it to look nice. And these are the best of both worlds. The quality and value for your money is great.

Realistic appearance

I ordered the topiary to place in large terracotta planters. The color and appearance are great. Opening the vaccum sealed bags is an experience for outdoors. I wouldn't open them indoors. The smell is noxious. It takes quite a bit of fluffing and adjusting to get the greenery to be full and ball shaped. The stakes don't fit snuggly into all the topiary so there may be issues holding in the ground. I have found from experience that they last about a year in the sun and weather. I think the price is a little high for the quality.

My porch looks like it has a landscaping budget now. It does not.

Four of these flanking my front steps and the entryway looks genuinely put-together in a way it never has before. The individual leaf detail is what makes these convincing — they're not that flat spray-painted foam ball look, they're actually layered and textured and the color variation across the leaves reads as real from any normal viewing distance.Unbox, shake to fluff, push the stake into a planter, done.
