Package came fast and securely. It only took me less than half an hour to put everything together and activate it. The materials are of superb quality especially the wooden frame. I am placing this plaque in the East sector of our living room where the Star 8 of Wealth and Prosperity lands, according to the Flying Stars chart for the Year of the Fire Horse 2026!
My daughter hosts an annual Lunar New Year party for our extended family every year, and she always has great decorations. I thought that for this year, I’d contribute to the decorations. I saw this YERGOFE 2026 Chinese New Year Decorations Wooden God of Wealth Hanging Ornament and thought this would be perfect for our, well her party. This is a very nice sized (ie medium to large sized!) hanging ornament, nicely made and decorated! The ‘god of wealth’ decoration would carry over from year to year / party to party vs having a decoration made for a specific Chinese zodiac animal. It requires minor assembly, and I like the included decorations (tassels, symbols, etc.). There are two sides to this decoration; a ‘flat’ side, and the other side has a dimensional aspect to it which I found attractive. We’ll be hanging this over the entrance way so both sides will be seen by our guests when they arrive. I give this 5 stars for being a very nicely designed hanging decoration that is well made and useable for more than this year's Chinese New Year.
I love this wooden Chinese New Year decoration tablet. The patterns and characters are the same on each side, and you can decorate them how you see fit. I did not attach the lantern to the velvet face of the plaque. I hung it separately. The fu characters are adhesive, and the description pictures show a suggested way to apply them. The dangly tassels can be hung on the plaque, or they can also be hung separately. The wood and the beaded hanger are great quality. Perfect size to hang up for good luck. I suppose you could hang it up and take it down after Lunar New Year, but I'll leave mine up for any extra luck I can get! Good value and build.
In both the main description as well some of the picture captions, a feature is mentioned. "CREATIVE SHAKING HEAD DESIGN" and "playful shaking head mechanism crafted from high-quality wood" feature prominently in descriptions and a few captions. Yet this featured mechanism does not exist. It's not even shown in any of the pictures of the item provided by the vendor! I looked all over the product when I got it and there's nothing on it that "moves dynamically" despite at least one review pointing it out. I'm confused here because what I received looks exactly like what it pictured, yet it doesn't meet the description. So I can only give this 3 stars. It doesn't match the description, it wasn't easy to assemble and without the original listing I wouldn't have known how to put it together because it didn't include instructions either.
It's a nice wooden banner for lunar new years - I really like the wood, it's better quality than I thought - a mix between plywood and solid wood. However, I didn't expect to need to build so much of it. The paper gourd specifically was annoying since you had to tape it on with the sticky pads they gave, which was a bit difficult to work with. However, after all that, it looks pretty solid.
