Beautiful slat board design—with a few caveats

For high quality slat board blinds in a 34”x72” size and priced at $106.99 these are a great option with a few caveats to consider.I will say with the included hardware hanging them up was fast and worry free which was very nice. I love the way they look compared to my other slat board blinds as these have a few differences that make them look even nicer than my other ones. There are 2 fabric strips, one on each side that open and close with the blinds—it’s a subtle difference, but visually elevates the look. Here comes the caveat. Im concerned it will be difficult to clean if my kids get spaghetti fingers on the fabric portion. I have large colonial windows that are almost floor to ceiling height and I do clean all my slat blinds quarterly as they are susceptible to dust. This is a cause for concern and makes me pause to order additional sets as I cringe at the thought of having dirty cloth pieces on my blinds. When purchasing window treatments I tend to go for what is easy to keep clean.There are 4 cords, 2 on each side that work as a pulley. The left pulley works to open/close the slats and the right pulley works to draw the blinds up or down. The cords are way too long and long cords can be a strangulation hazard for children. This is an easy fix though. I will use a pair of tweezers to pull the knotted end downwards from the cap, raise the cap up to my desired height and tie a new knot and then trim below that.Overall I really like the look but am worried about the longevity of the fabric maintaining a fresh white look and the price and value is overall a 4 star from me.

Good All Wwid Blackout Shade

I like this shade. I especially like that it is all wood and blackout. My master bedroom window is on the northwest west side of the house. So, this means that the morning sun gives me a rude awakening almost every morning and taking a nap is nearly impossible in the afternoons. This shade really helps with this and it has improved my sleep in the mornings. I had no trouble with installation of this shade and it looks great. The quality is good and the fit and function are both as expected. I think is is a fair value for the price and will definitely consider buying this again for the remaining bedrooms when the time to replace comes.
