Realistic, looking high-quality, perfect size for your porch

Living in the South the summer months are brutal-nothing stays alive unless I’m constantly watering. I travel a lot so getting something colorful that actually looked REAL was a challenge until I found these. There are 2 shades of purple with a hint of white and plenty of green to really make it look real. The kit comes with 2 baskets, an insert with a greenery covered “mold” to place your stems in. Assembly was a snap and you can move the stems into any shape you’re looking for due to the amount of placement holes in the mold. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a solution to their lack of a green thumb or if they’re looking for something that looks nice without the upkeep.

Pretty from a distance, but frustrating to assemble and not very secure

I ordered this set of artificial petunia hanging baskets because I thought they would look nice on my front porch. The purple flowers are attractive and fairly realistic, and once arranged they do resemble real hanging baskets from a normal viewing distance.These arrive as more of a kit than a finished basket, though. The flowers are compressed into bundles for shipping, so the first step is fluffing and shaping each branch so the stems spread out and look more natural. After that, you assemble the baskets by inserting the stems into green plastic topiary balls that sit inside the baskets.The process isn’t especially time-consuming, but I did find it frustrating. The baskets are curved and the hanging chains tend to get in the way while you’re working, so it often felt like I needed a third hand to hold everything in place. Arranging the branches so they looked balanced also took some trial and error.After shaping and arranging the stems, the baskets look fairly full and lush, although not quite as full as the listing photos. The size is good—similar to hanging baskets you might buy at a nursery—and from a distance the flowers look fairly convincing.Unfortunately, the design of the assembly is the biggest problem. The stems simply poke into the plastic base, and there’s nothing actually securing them in place. It’s very easy to disturb the arrangement after you’ve finished, and I have very little confidence that the flowers would stay put in a stiff wind. The baskets themselves are also lightweight—the seller even suggests adding stones to weigh them down—which adds to the concern about outdoor durability.I’m also concerned that after a windy day I might end up picking scattered stems out of the yard, or worse, losing some of them entirely. The way the flowers attach just doesn’t inspire much confidence for outdoor use unless you take extra time to secure everything.When I ordered these, the set was listed at $49.99 (it now appears to be about $39.99). Even at the lower price, the amount of assembly required and the lack of stability make them feel overpriced for what you get.For me, these would likely require hot glue or florist wire to really anchor the flowers before hanging them outside. Given the amount of effort required to assemble them and the lack of stability once they’re done, they didn’t feel like a great value at this price.As a Vine reviewer, I’m encouraged to review items promptly, so this reflects my initial setup and impressions rather than long-term outdoor testing.

A pleasant surprise

These are much nicer than I expected them to be. You get two hanging baskets with two greenery inserts, and 12 bunches of flowers. I have a problem where I live with dear eating anything I plant. Last year I started randomly putting out flowers like these. It’s crazy how realistic they actually look. I think the key is sticking to small size artificial flowers.
