I've gone electric on all my candles. This Yahrtzeit candle is no exception. I put it on the fireplace mantle, turned it on using the remote and viola! no carbon or soot to dirty up the ceiling. The remote has a brightness control and a selection of 2, 4, or 8 hours for "burning". I just with they would have included a 24 hour button.Else, it's a nice way to honor our loved ones.
I live in an apartment and can only stand an open flame candle for about thirty minutes. These LED candles are fantastic!With the remote I can change to different colors. I can leave them “burning” all night without worry. And not to be sacrilegious, I used them as nightlights when powerful storm/tornado downed the electricity this year. They cast enough light to maneuver in each room they were placed.
The dual AA batteries last at least 24 hours on a full charge, and by substituting rechargeable batteries (like EBL or Eneloop) the cost is trivial with regular use. Safe for dorms, hospitals, and nursing homes/assisted living facilities. The color of the light is more the temperature of a fluorescent bulb than a real flame.
Thought there was going to be 2 remotes with the purchase of 2? Only gotc1. Both are not in same house. Ad does not say only 1 remote not 1 for each. Please send another or tell me the cost & I’ll buy it. The ad dhoukd have said one per order & price to but a second!!!!
The product was easy to use. I was disappointed that the light wasn’t white.
My grandmothers used to light Yartzeit candles and put them in the kitchen sink or on the stove to burn for 24 hours. This is such a much safer option! I don't know how to use the remote, so I turn it on with the switch on the bottom. It takes 2 AA batteries. The glow is very soothing. It comes in a two pack so I was able to give one to a relative and then I repurchased and sent it to another relative. Absolutely wonderful!
These LED candles are fine - for candles. Yartzheit candles need to stay lit for 24 hours straight. Not at 8 hour intervals, which is the longest length of time these candles stay lit without intervention. Shouldn’t be marketed as Yartzheit candles!!! And at the very least should say they are not 24 hour candles in the description instead of finding out after they arrive…
