Elephantly cute, but seller photos misleading.
These are so friggin' adorable I want to give them ten stars!!!They arrive in bubble wrap in a simple but sturdy cardboard box. I think the box is actually quite perfect for gifting one of these to a bestie, just add some shredded fluff, carefully peel the item sticker off the top and replace it with a small bow (see photos). The big question is which to gift and which to keep, who's the giggly one and who's more serious?Both worked well with stick incense, but what the seller pics show are a mystery to me. I've never seen short thin incense sticks like they have pictured in the trunks, and even if I had I wouldn't want the incense burning all the way to the trunk. The thin stick end of usual incense sticks fits okay though, just be prepared for the ashes, they fall anywhere from a 1" to 5" out depending on the elephant and angle. (See photos.)What about the super cute smoking trunks in the seller photos? That's a nope. I tried several times (see video). The bottom holes are quite tiny and would barely fit even the smallest cones (see photos) and it can be tricky to set the elephant on them correctly. I know because (since I didn't have cones that would fit) I cut a cone down, eager to see my smoking elephant. I got the cone good and hot and rolling and managed to place the elephant perfectly on it and waited... several times... but no smoke. At least not from the trunk, but when I lifted the elephant smoke poured out of the bottom though. (Side note, if you try a cone be careful, my first one got stuck in there and it took forever to get it out, shaking and shaking until I got lucky 😆. Don't be me.)So that's a big bummer. I don't think there are actually holes in the trunks for the smoke to rise out of; imo the smoke and incense sticks in their photos are completely photoshopped. Not sure why the seller misrepresented that but it made want to give them no stars.That bummer plus utter irritation aside... these are sweet enough to make me glad I ordered them, they work with my stick incense so will be used, and the price is good, whether gifting or keeping. But I do love gifting my bestie one, the giggling one lol. I'll add some of her favorite incense sticks ;).
