Pretty BUT they turn on in flashing mode & you have to cycle thru 7 settings to get to steady light

I love these trees but they turn on in flashing mode and you have to cycle through 7 settings to get to Steady Light. Every time. Even after you press the button to save your steady light setting. I'm getting ready to return these but I'm trying something first -- I'm buying replacement power source plugs that don't have 8 settings -- if it works I'll keep 'em, if not, I'm returning. Note: I did contact the company to get help with the settings and they told me that the trees are supposed to "remember" the mode they are turned off in and turn back on in that mode. Mine did not & do not do that no matter what I've tried. Very annoying and I have flashing light sensitive people in my house, so I don't want that flashing setting at all. :(
