Avoid the ash mess

This is a nice little incense burning setup. It comes in four pieces, plus a brush and a pack of incense. You attach a stick of incense to an alligator clip, and arrange it so the ashes from the incense fall into the glass ash catcher. The other glass container can be used to store the incense and cleaning brush. The brush can be used to clean any ash that ends up on or around the wood stand.The incense that comes with the stand smells nice and calming. The glass catchers have plenty of room to catch and store lots of incense ashes. As long as it's not next to a fan or something all the ashes fall right into the catcher.It's a much cleaner way to collect incense ashes than a typical flat wood ash catcher like I was using. There's much less cleaning needed. You just dump it out and wipe clean if desired.Overall I like the incense stand, the incense that's included and the cleaning brush. I do feel like it's slightly overpriced, and that's why I gave it four stars.

Mountain Vibes Without the Mess

I am reviewing the WANZA 2 in 1 Incense Holder for Sticks at the cost of $17.99.I grabbed this mainly for meditation sessions, but it ended up living on my coffee table full time. The 3D mountain cutout really does create that misty peak effect when smoke drifts through. The smell from the included sandalwood sticks filled my living room without being overpowering, and the glass ash catcher actually works. No stray ash on my table even with the AC running nearby.The metal clip holds sticks securely without snapping thinner ones, and I like that the wooden base doubles as storage for the extra sticks. It keeps everything tidy instead of having a box shoved in a drawer. Compared to basic ceramic dishes around $10 to $12 or fancier brass lotus holders in the $25 to $40 range, this hits a sweet spot. You get better ash control than the cheap trays and more visual interest than plain glass catchers, all for under $20.If you burn incense regularly and hate chasing ash or want something prettier than a basic holder, this is solid. The gold metal and wood combo looks way more expensive than it is. I'm genuinely happy leaving it out as decor between burns. For anyone who values both function and style without spending $30 plus, this delivers.

Base is ugly

$17.99 when ordered. $17.99 now.I would say that this incense burner/holder does what it says it will do. The alligator clip is high enough that it will hold my longer Ganesh incense fine. I do have to adjust it each time I use it because the clip is weird in how it lets the incense hit the edge of the glass to begin with. But that's easily adjusted.I've been using mine incorrectly and putting my incense over the taller glass and then dumping it into the shorter mountain one. Mostly because I'm lazy and I also allow the scent of the incense ash to remain in the room. So I figure it will just look prettier on the mountain. I also like the wind break of the taller one going up those few extra inches.What I do not like is the color of the base. That has to be one of the ugliest colors I have seen. It's that ugly green sort of brown stain that just looks like it came out of the seventies. The cutout has both the square and a circular interior where I'm guessing the saw has cut down and scratched into the wood.The brush feels like inexpensive goat hair possibly. It does seem well attached to the handle. The handle is raw and unstained. It's been embossed and foiled. There's nothing fancy about it.If it says what the incense is — it's in Chinese and I cannot read that. The scent is very faint and powdery. I'm not sure what it is. I thought when I ordered it it I had a choice but maybe that was something else. It smells decent when it's burning. It's not very strong.Overall, I like it because I won't have to empty it constantly and it gives the ash somewhere to go. The glass is decently thick so it's not going to break if I just slightly bang it against something. You do have to push the pole that the clip is on into the hole and twist hard because it is a bit larger than the hole. The clip holds the incense well. I tried different sizes. The base is very ugly. It would look so much nicer if it was natural, black, or really any other stain or color than what it is. I will be changing that.I do think it is a bit pricey for what it is, but I will get good use out of it.I would probably give three and a half stars if I were able to give a half. I don't think it's worth four, but I do think that if someone's willing to change the base or they like the base that it's a nice way to catch the ash.

So much better than those trays

Attractive and nicely designed with an interesting, low-key modern style. But functionally, these things are miles apart from those little horizontal head shop trays. No matter how hard you try those things end up throwing ashes everywhere. This is pretty brilliant. It holds the incense stick vertically upside down, and everything goes into the glass ash catcher. My only qualm is, there’s a alligator clip hanging off a brass rail that holds onto the stick. It’s sort of a weird angle. You got a fuss with a little bit to get the ashes falling into the glass receptacle, but it works eventually. You’ll get the hang of it.
