*Inside mount* is best
They're *okay* for the price. I have a couple concerns about their longevity, but if mounted carefully, correctly and treated with care, they could last for years.APPEARANCE:Unlike most blinds, it uses straps instead of cords. It doesn't look very nice, IMO and it creates some difficulty with keeping them clean. The plastic locks at the bottom have me on the fence about with the overall aesthetic. Still, the color is nice and there's a cover plate included to camouflage the mounting hardware.INSTALLATION:You'll need some standard tools... Screwdriver, Hammer, drill, measuring tape, pen.. maybe a level, depending on your preferences. The package comes with 8 anchor/screw pairs and 3 mounting brackets.It's pretty straight forward. The necessary parts are included and if you've ever mounted blinds before then it should be no problem. However, if you haven't hung blinds before then heads up.. The included instructions are NOT great. You might want to check YouTube for some better guidance.They do show something I had not considered nor expected when I ordered. The pictures show a screw through the top of the brackets. 😳 Meaning, first of all - I must not have checked the description closely, and second...*These are meant to be mounted INSIDE your window frame.*As with all blinds, it's imperative to have the brackets strongly secured or they'll come crashing down when they are adjusted. The included mounting brackets are strong and sturdy, and luckily there are 3 instead of 2 which is all that's recommended for the 23 inch ones. Just keep in mind that the overall assembly is quite heavy, so *IF* you're brave enough to attempt an outside mount using only the backside screw holes, at the very least you'll need to hit wall studs, probably with longer screws. OR, if you want to get really clever.. you could replace the need for an upper surface with some L-brackets and tiny bolts. Just saying, everything is figure-out-able, but the included mounting hardware has limits. ☺️TILTING the blinds:It has a functional tilt mechanism that works smoothly. The straps, which look slightly frayed at the top, are attached in the header with a slit piece of flexible plastic. It's probably better for a plastic's durability to be flexible rather than brittle, but plastic is inherently more likely to break than metal. All my old blinders have metal at this crucial point, not plastic, so I have doubts that these were made to last.SUMMARYFor now, though, they are functional and again.. they're OKAY for the price. The inner cord that adjusts the height of all sides at once without is a bit of modern technology that I honestly don't totally understand, but I greatly appreciate. ☺️For the sake of this review, I put these through the ringer and I'm happy to report... They could possibly stand up for years to any normal use, as well as absent minded or impatient pulls, maybe even toddlers. 😅If they break within the year, I'll be back with a pointed edit. At the moment, I'd take half a star, if it were allowed, for the cheap-ish appearance, high price and less reliable materials, but I can't really call them unreliable unless they actually fail and despite my first impression and the ridiculous tests I've done on them, almost trying to break them, they've held up and deserve these 5 stars... For now. Heh.*They click tightly into the spring loaded mounts. I attached one before installing so you can see it in the photos. For the record, taking it off was NOT easy. I needed to work it off at a slight angle, even with the spring fully compressed. So, to avoid any unnecessary frustration, make sure the mounts are EXACTLY where you want them before you attach the blinds because once you do, removing them is going to be a struggle that will probably result in one or more parts getting bent.

Excellent Black-Out Blinds
This is a very nice set of mini blinds and they look great in our window.The inside mount installation was straightforward and simple, and the blinds and hardware all appear to be well-made from quality materials.The color was just as represented in the product pictures, and along with everything else, the weight is substantial enough for me to consider this a quality set of wooden blinds.I really appreciate that unlike the majority of the blinds in my home, these are cordless for both lifting as well as for tilting. Both features operate smoothly and easily, and once you have turned the wand all the way for closure, these are excellent for blackout purposes.

Great Value Blinds; Color was Different than I Anticipated
I got these Cordless Blinds for an upstairs window through which light was streaming at night, preventing me from falling asleep. The window is in a stairway, which makes curtains almost impossible to use. This set of blinds was the perfect solution; I can pull the blinds down and raise them up with one hand from my upstairs landing. I'm very satisfied with the function.These blinds mount on the underside of the top of the window, and fit nicely into my standard 24 inch-wide window. I was pleased that inside-mounting was possible, because this option saves space and looks better, in my opinion.When opening the package, I was a bit surprised by how yellowish the Pecan color is. I anticipated a rich brown, but instead got a more mustard-brown color. I think the photographs on the product page are a bit misleading in that regard.I do think these are a solid value (pun intended). The slats are, in fact, solid wood, but you get what you pay for at this price point. They aren't the most sophisticated-looking blinds around, nor the most polished; the woven straps running down the length, especially, are not very attractive.I would recommend these blinds to value-conscious buyers who need to block light from outside. For this use, they work well at an affordable price.
