Good for Hanging on a Wall but the Easel Stand Does Not Open Wide Enough to Stand on Table

This is a beautiful frame! I would describe the color as a warm, medium brown. The double mat is of high quality and gives the option to fit a 4x6 or 3x5 photo. I only gave 3 stars because I purchased the frame to sit on a desk. However, the easel stand does not open far enough for the frame to stand up for more than a few seconds. If you are purchasing this to mount on a wall then you will have no problem.

Beautiful at a great price

This is a super nice, classy frame that seems on trend with the walnut coloring. Love that it can fit a 4x6, 6x8 or 8x10 photo! Quality is great with the two optional mats as options. It has options to be displayed on the wall or a desktop.The walnut is USA sourced and uses a sturdy mortise and tenon joint - very high quality. The glass is also shatter resistant and clear. All the hardware on the back is already attached. The tabs on the back are easy to open. Love that the glass is supposed to minimize glare, a personal pet peeve of mine.Super excited I nabbed this beautiful photo frame at a great price. Honestly, the price is kind of amazing for the quality. Big box décor stores would definitely charge more for this, maybe double the price, and this one is just as good, if not better!

Appears to be walnut; very nice frame

There is a lot I like about this frame, and only about 1 thing I wish were different.Pros-Well made. No wonky corners or joined parts. Everything is smooth and flawless.-The color is nice and looks like it does on the product page.-I love that they offer so many different sizes, and that the included matting extends what sizes you can display.-Arrived well packaged and intact without damage.Cons-The hardware to hang this is on the faux wood backing, and not the frame, which I don't trust for longevity, especially if I ordered the larger sizes. -I can't say it is this way on all of them, as I only ordered the one size, but for anything 8x10 and over, I can't understand why it would be on the backing, and not the frame itself. This seems like a no-brainer to me.Overall, I like the frame and the price. It's not an overly thick frame (border), but it looks nice.As for whether this is a real walnut or just stained to look walnut, or possibly even cherry wood, here's my 2¢.-Real walnut has varying shades of brown, and can even be very light if you get towards the sapwood outer layer. the grain can be more wavy than cherry. Cherry tends to have a straighter grain and can cast a reddish hue more so than a brown hue. Despite the price, this does appear to be a walnut frame to me when I consider these factors. I did a scratch test to see if it was stained on the inside of the frame, but though it seems to have a natural finish on it, it doesn't appear to be stained, and it does appear to be solid wood. I am not a professional woodworker, but this is my opinion from what I could determine with the frame. Hope that helps.Nice frame. I would not hesitate to reorder.

Nice frame. It’s not walnut but stained a walnut color. Edges have nice joinery done, not just slapped together.Comes with mats for 4x6 and 3x5, so you’re not limited to the original 5x7 frame or have to go out and buy mats separately.The hardware to mount the frame to the wall are on the backboard and not the frame itself.Good value.
