I got this to frame an autographed Full Metal Jacket DVD & photo of R. Lee Ermey for my husband as a birthday gift. The frame arrived in perfect condition & a timely manner. It was easy to open from the back & I secured the DVD box & photo with glue dots. When it came time to hang it, my husband was a bit frustrated trying to get the enclosed hanging mechanisms on it & the wire strung. That could've been an issue with him though. Less depth and thinner back

For the price I thought I was getting a glass frame with a thicker back. The back of the shadow box is thinner than I expected it to be. I was expecting the back to be thicker with some cushion and push pins. The back of this shadow box is slightly thicker than the back of a normal picture frame. The size of the shadow box was perfect for me. I ended up making it work for me and I love the shadow box I made. The depth of the box is only 2” so make sure what you are putting inside will fit that depth before you purchase. If you want to hang your shadow box you will have to attach the hardware yourself.

I used these shadow boxes as frames for regular pictures. When I have had pictures professionally framed - the frames are deep 2inches. I used shadow box to mimic a professional framing. Looks more substantive. Not the exactly the same as professional - but almost and way cheaper.
