Well made and better materials than average non-wooden frames

Very well made, matted, and the frame is actually textured.This little frame is better made and looking than the average, not wooden frames that are more popular these days due to their lower price. I got a set of several not too long ago and while those were well priced, they were made to look like they had the texture of wood on the frames. The frames had a paper layer designed to look like wood, but the moment you touched it it felt smooth and not at all like wood. This frame is made with wood veneer and it actually feels like wood and, therefore, it feels better quality. Because it is textured, I could see this being painted any desired color, from white to black and everything in between. Because the surface doesn't appear to have any finish or coating on it (if it does it is very thin, not necessarily a negative) it could take paint with little-to-no prep at all.As is, it would fit a so-called boho, Mid Century, or minimalist anesthetic very well.Size wise it is as described and fits a borderless 5x7 picture with no issues.It can be hanged in portrait and landscape modes, or be placed on a flat surface, and all the hardware to do so feels tight and securely attached to the thick cardboard backing.I love this little frame and I feel it is well priced, and would get it again.

I got this 5x7 natural wood frame to display my niece's prom picture & let me tell you, it is working harder than the chaperones did on that night!!!The wood veneer finish looks classy && grown up!! Which really balances out the 47 selfies she took before this "official" photo. The mat fit her 4x6 picture perfectly!! The shatterproof plexiglass is a huge Blessing in itself bcuz I accidentally dropped it while trying to hang it with other favorited family photos on my wall that goes up my stairs & of course it bounced down hitting...E-V-E-R-Y stair between my klutzy fingers & the bottom of the staircase!!!!! Luckily the glass showed ZERO damage. The wood had a couple minor scratches but just like her confidence in that dress, it was unbreakable!!!!!!It looks beautiful on my table & hanging on my wall & it makes me look like the supportive, loving, & well organized Aunt I aspire to be!!!
