Just what I needed, used these to add some more storage/shelf space to my closet area (closets and passthrough from master bedroom to master bathroom).I used these on a wall that's just drywall so I didn't bother with screws etc, I used Duck brand "Max strength" packing tape to keep a clean and clear look, no metal screws, and added a couple clear thumbtacks under each shelf. I think they'll hold fine for sunglasses or clutches.Love how they look above my full-length mirror. (Note the tape I used will likely ruin the drywall/paint if I ever take it off but I'm not bothered, I plan to keep these shelves up or hang art there.) Testing them out with sunglasses and necklaces for now and they seem to be holding just fine, will update if they fall overnight!Ordering more of these to do another row above, probably five for clutches. Might do a few sets on another wall or two as well.The kit comes with everything you'd ever need including a cute tiny level. As someone who's eco-conscious all that extra plastic does stress me out a little (I have tools, a level, etc., would have loved the option to opt out of everything but the metal screws... but I understand they are trying to set themselves apart... and they do. Very nice package/product).Another suggestion would be to make a version without the screw holes and with adhesive or Command-type strips.That said, neither the screws or screw holes will show in most cases (once you place whatever items you want to display on these shelves), so again, a nice product.UPDATE: It's been a couple days and the shelves are holding strong despite my "alternative" means of hanging them!
I bought these shelves to eliminate items kept on my vanity. I knew they were small at only 7” and should have realized it wouldn’t work well for my intended use. Especially with no sides to prevent items from sliding off. I was going to return them but instead had another idea. I used one shelf to display a scrapbook that was gifted to me. And I love it! It looks great on my wall. The clear acrylic doesn’t detract from the book. The shelf was easy to mount. The included level was helpful. I also used the expansion tubes that were included to be sure it would hold the weight of the book. It feels secure. I haven’t decided yet how I will use the second shelf. But glad I decided to keep them.
Seemed a bit "pricey" for plastic shelves but I needed the 18" width for install. Worked out well as the shelves are very sturdy and definitely get the job done.
These are great!!! Easy install. Looks sleek. I put them in our bathroom to get some items up on the counter. I don't have anything super heavy on them but i think of you screwed them into a stud they could hold some weight. They don't have side edges so things can slide off but mine are in between 2 mirrors. I liked them so much I bought an extra set!
Clear was the right choice for me; it makes a small space look less cramped.These shelves are transparent, strong, and sturdy, a great choice for my bathroom and powder room. I put one shelf in each bathroom.The only issue is that the nails the shelves came with don't sit flush with the item; they protrude slightly outward and don't fit between the grooves.PS, be sure to use the washers provided, they help keep the shelf in place and also help with the finished product of the nail.* ** Bathroom and powder room images.
