Functional and Esthetically Pleasing

We picked the walnut color for the walls in our living area and kitchen area to match our spiral case in the middle of our small condo unit with a high ceiling. Esthetically, these shelves have a nice aged look—complementary to our spiral case. Functionally speaking, each floating shelf is supported by three L-shaped metal brackets, providing additional weight-bearing support. We use three for our kitchen area to store our stainless steel cookware and cookbooks, and four in our living room for books and small decorative pieces. Large hardcover books can add on weight quickly, so definitely consider the weight limit when using them as bookshelves. Overall, we're very happy with these shelves.

Solid wood. Partially stained

They are real wood. I was disappointed that only one side is stained. Obviously these are hung on the wall. When up higher than eye level you see the underside that is unfinished. The brackets are solid. No pre drilled holes on the wood. Instructions are irrelevant. Could probably save $ by just getting the exact same thing at Home Depot and staining both sides yourself.Also the Walnut is quite red. My floors are walnut and these look nothing like them.

solid shelves (actual solid wood)

Awesome solid shelfs though relatively expensive, then again solid wood is getting so expensive/rare lately; with that said given their price I was expecting the slabs to be entirely "finish" but no, their bottom isn't. wish really sucks. They also seem to come directly from the "mill" i.e. they where cover with dust/dirt, again something not expected at this prices!The brackets are solid but only support one position, i.e. you can't rotate them for the floating look; they also don't have any labels on them so I wasn't sure which side to use, I did notice one side was as long as the shelfs where wide so I went with that for the symmetry, though thats probably wrong ...
