Perfect for decorations
I bought this shadow box to make a Christmas present for someone who loves Taylor Swift.The size was perfect for what I had planned and allowed me to put more that I could imaging. I love the light that the shadow box comes with. It allows you to display the items even when it is dark.The quality is and functionality was awesome when it came to decorating and worked with the decorations.I would buy this shadow box again and the cost was worth every penny.

Pretty made a nice personal gift
I thought "outside the box" for a present this year. I did a keepsake box for a family member. This looked so nice! The only downside is the black, the wood is still "rough". Didn't use the shelves. But everything else was very pretty. Mine didn't have a smooth finish and maybe that's for crafting so you could paint over or add. We haven't hung it yet so I'll update soon.

Great display case!
I have been looking for a display case for some necklaces that I make for a while now. I wanted something that can hang in a shop and look nice, (hopefully) deter theft, and make my jewelry look good. This checks all of the boxes! Yes, the little extra embellishments can come off of you don't handle it carefully, however mine did not.I will say that the wood is soft and the paint seemed to have soaked into it. The result was something that would show any scratch, nick, etc. I would recommend sealing it. I decided to change mine up from black to a "metallic black stainless" (it was the only color of spray paint I had on hand lol) and used a couple of coats of spray paint, followed by a semi-gloss seal. I hand painted the embellishments with acrylic paint and then used contact paper from Dollar tree to change the background. Since this is going to be in a public area and I want it to stand up to the wear and tear. Having the black base was helpful when painting.The only drawback to this case is that my acrylic window was easily scratched, which is not really covering you can spray paint away. Dont take the protective film off of either side until you are ready to put it on display of you want to avoid this. I needed to be able to see what's inside so I removed mine. Hopefully the company can switch to clear film or better plastic windows.The other improvement is make to it is to have a different way to provide power to the lights. Batteries aren't cheap and according to the product info, won't last a long time. The size is true to what's listed and the shelves are easy to install since they just slide into place.It's still a great addition to my jewelry display and I would buy again.I'm including a couple of before and after pics with the jewelry in it and lights on.

Delicate, but actually very pretty!
A few of the reviews here mention pieces falling off or chips. Its made of a very soft pine wood and the trim is only attached by a couple pin sized needles, so I can see how they might fall off easily in shipping (one of mine did) or the shadow box might get bruised. Definitely wouldnt use it for something where you're constantly opening and closing it.With that being said though, its a beautiful box! Pretty decent size, smells like fresh pine which is always lovely, not sure if its made by hand or in a factory but its obviously put together in a way that there aren't any imperfections - nothings lined up wrong, no hinges or glue showing, nothing crooked.This is everything I was looking for in a vintage display box for some of my vintage items without it actually being old! ❤️
