Bought these to keep a rug from sliding around! They work perfect. When we moved the rug to a different location the residue from underneath was very easy to clean up. Great to secure down a rug that continues to move around

I bought these rug grippers for my kitchen floor rugs, which need to be washed often thanks to my puppy’s constant paw prints. On the floor, they work really well — once the rug is down, it stays put and doesn’t slide around, even in a high-traffic kitchen.They grip firmly to the floor and do exactly what they’re supposed to do in terms of safety and stability. I especially appreciate them for thinner kitchen rugs that tend to shift easily.The only downside is that they don’t stay attached to the rug during washing. I have to remove them before putting the rug in the washer and then reapply them afterward. It’s not difficult, just something to be aware of if you wash your rugs frequently.Pros:• Strong grip on kitchen floors• Keeps rugs from sliding or bunching• Easy to apply and reposition• Great for high-traffic areasCons:• Do not stay attached during washing• Need to be removed and reapplied after laundryOverall, these are very effective rug grippers as long as you treat them as removable. We have two bernedoodles, one still a large puppy. Zoomies happen a lot in our house, which is mostly wood floored with rugs. Now the rugs stay in place even with the most rambunctious play time!
I was worried about getting sticky adhesive on my wall-to-wall carpet. But you don't even have to use the adhesive on the the wall-to-wall carpet part. I'm so happy! See my video, it explains it all.Update 7-3-23I'm going to have to downgrade my review. The adhesive doesn't stick too well to the back of the area rug. When you walk on the rug, it pulls away. I had to sew the gripper to the back of the area rug. The kit does come with pre-Threaded needles. At the time I thought "What are these for?" Now I know. The adhesive doesn't stick very well to the back of the area rug. The Velcro does stick great to the wall to wall carpet.
These have saved my sanity. They are thick enough that you can cut a square out of a rug pad for them and they keep the rug from sliding off the rug pad all the time.
