As Psalms were often sung, meditating on one of them can keep your dad's heart singing all day!The scriptures appear to come from the NIV translation. They are easy to read, use modern English, and apply to life in all stages and moods.If your dad wishes to read or study more, each is labeled with the book and verse they come from.Sometimes, it's hard to find spiritual gifts that are practical for men. THIS one fits the bill!BUT, I gave it only 4 stars.The jar is shorter than some others were, and the verses were just "shoved" in. They weren't folded, and they aren't on a stiff card stock like some other gifts like this. The way they were packaged will not allow your dad to easily pull out a verse that matches his mood for the day. The presentation was so poor, that I carefully folded each verse in half for better presentation. Because that remedy is rather simple, I would.have still chosen 5 stars.So, why 4 stars? The colors are TOO similar. I doubt my dad will be able to tell them apart!All of this has a slightly lower quality than the Christmas one I also reviewed. As for me and my dad... I'm sure it won't faze him a bit!

Great Gift Idea
This turned out better than I imagined. It is a little smaller than I thought, however, I think it is a good size. The jar is thick glass closed with a cork top. The cork was very easy to take off and back on. It is solid and doesn't feel like it will break apart like some cork tops I've experienced.To my delight, this comes with everything you need to give this as a gift. The box looks classy and not cheap. There is a little card you can write something on the back of and a little string with a tag on it!I pulled out one of the verses to see the quality. It is printed clearly and a good size font; no smudges, blurriness, or bad translations. I highly recommend for the religious dad in your life!

The print wasn't as bold and more difficult to read for older folks. The quality wasn't quite as nice because of this so I knocked it down in stars. Overall the jars are great gifts of encouragement and daily reminders of who we are in Christ and a wonderful way to show you are an Ambassador of Christ even in the smallest setting. So I think the idea is a wonderful thoughtful motivational support to others but would recommend those durable upgrades for better longevity for the user.
