Wonderful beeswax that smells like it should, just a barely there slight hint of beeswax smell, and only if you're looking for it. Most of the guests couldn't smell anything. Very pleased with these. Burn life was as advertised. Yes, they cost more, but in this case, you get what you pay for.
Love these candles! I use them on my meditation altar and they last a long time with a pleasant scent of beeswax. Also like that I can support a small business that makes them. Will order again.
These are true, one-hundred percent beeswax votive candles, and unlike other candles of lesser quality, require special care. But they are worth every penny. They are smokeless, and have a pleasant, honeylike fragrance. They are sustainable and eco-friendly.In addition, your purchase supports a small, locally owned family business. The sellers are easy to deal with and eager to please, as I needed more detailed instructions (beeswax candles for dummies :) First, the wicks need to be trimmed to 1/4 inch with each burning. Second, the candles must fit snugly in their holders. Third, for best results, the candles must burn in a draft-free room for at least two, preferably three hours. Last and most important, the candles are best extinguished by dousing the wick in the molten wax using the round edge of a large paper clip. This procedure is a little tricky, and can be risky if done unmindfully. I use these candles for meditation and start them early so they'll have burnt for an hour before I sit.
These are very functional and I love their simplicity. I use them in my prayer corner. They came in a solid box, there was no breakage and burn clean. Actually, I think they are pretty.

This is my first time buying the votive style. They don’t burn all the wax like the tea lights. I read to burn them in tight fitting holders and I believe this is the key to getting the best length of burn time. Currently, my glass holders are just a little spacious and I’m getting a lot of unburned wax that needs to be cleaned out before I can add a new candle to the holder. After being able to compare, I’m feeling inclined to stick with the tea lights. Love the quality of the wax and the aroma is so clean and sweet and inviting!
