Absolutely 100% blackout. I bought these to help with insulating older windows as well. They definitely help keep out drafts. I've only had them up for about a week in my diningroom but am loving them so far. Very easy to install, great quality.

Great thick black out quality
The color was darker then i thought it would be but over all I loved these curtains they add just the right look I wanted while blocking light out of the room. I’ve had them hanging for a few weeks now and I can see that the wrinkles are starting to fade, you could do an extra step and get them out faster if you wanted but I needed something that simplifies my work load so i’m glad that they fade over time to give a great clean look. Overall I am very happy with them

These were nicer than I expected. I really like the feel and look of the "Linen" and it's not plasticky at all. I have the light color and they really do block out the light and the heat. That said, they are heavy and as you can see, I need to add a middle support in my rod (or get a better rod, I kind of skimped on it). I replaced heavy drawstring curtains with these and the grommets slide super easy. They honestly open faster with a nice whooosh when separating in the middle! I have four panels.
Best curtains for the size I needed! They look so high quality and are true black out curtains! Very impressed!
