VERY EASY to install!!! Will buy more for my other windows!

I ordered this blackout window shade curtain for my son’s bedroom window, which faces East with the sunrise. I was hesitant about installing it myself because I am very bad at understanding assembly instructions and putting even simple things together - this isn’t my strong suit at all. I had planned to set the package aside and have a friend help me put the blind up next week.But, my six-year-old opened the package when I left the room to get a screwdriver and he figured out most of it before I was even back in the room! THATS how easy it was to install! Yes, six years old!The instructions that came with the shade were very easy to understand, even for me! We were also able to adjust the roll-up speed with ease! This is such a nice feature to have! it only took us a few minutes to get it completely installed and operational, using only a drill and a flat head screwdriver. We used the Phillips bit on the drill to install the screws to hang the shade, and we used the screwdriver to turn the knob on the side and adjust the speed! My son held the brackets in place, while I screwed them in. Even if I didn’t have a helper, I think this would have been a pretty easy project to do by myself.In the past, I have installed a lot of vertical blinds, mini blinds and wooden slat blinds, and I really think these are a lot easier to install. The light blocking properties seem to be very good for the sunshine in the morning, and I’m sure it will help keep heat out of his room in the summer, too.I think I’m going to buy a few more of these for some more of my windows in my home, since they are so easy to install and come in such a wide variety of sizes.I definitely recommend these roll-up shades for anyone who needs a simple, cordless solution for light blocking or privacy on a window. These are also safe to use in a baby’s room in my opinion because there are no dangerous cords like with mini blinds.I think it is also important to note that only the width of your window really matters. The length is not too important. Our shade is quite a bit longer in height than my son‘s window, but The extra unneeded length just stays, rolled up and out of sight so it doesn’t cause any issues at all! 😊

Price and quality of this blackout shade are not aligned! This is a great value blackout shade that is VERY easy to install. Be sure to make your measurements closely, as a good fit is important to block out the light efficiently.What I also like about this is the physical size is rather small, so it's not some enormous roller sitting at the top of the window or patio door. I installed this on our exterior door that has a tall glass center that gets a lot of sun in the summer. It will be really nice to not have that heat and strong sun coming when i pull this blind down. It also color matches nicely with our white trim that is around the door.All in all, very pleased with the quality and ease of install. I can see this working well in an office or nursery setting as well- lots of options!
