Overall, this is a solid rod. Could be a little sturdier, but that's hard at longer lengths. I also find it to be set quite a ways off the wall/window, which may bother some as light gets around the sides. I'm pleased and got what I expected from the listing.

Not a very solid piece
This curtain rod is okay. Just okay. I ordered it, because the wood look would go with my Boho look better than a solid black or silver rod. The wood look doesn’t look as good in person as it does in the advertisement picture. It looks much cheaper. The decorative end also popped off and broke, so I have to glue it back to the pole to get it to stay. It is a great size rod and fit my patio door. It was easy to assemble and easy to hang.

UPDATE 3rd September, 2024: We've since installed this rod and I can't say enough good things about it. It is as steady as a rock. We've hung feathery curtains and heavy drapes on it and it does not move. Conversely, a different set of matching rods that we bought elsewhere has forced us to buy better anchors and longer screws because they were wobbling all over the place. I would buy more of these without hesitation.*********************************Good engineering might be an odd thing to say about a faux wood curtain rod, but I think it fits.It looks very wood-like. It has a good heft and the rod looks about an inch and a half in diameter. (I'm eyeing it, no measuring tape close at hand).The holders to be attached to the wall - I'm sure there is a name for them but I don't know it - are attached top and bottom. You can see the two holes for the screws. This is something we look for in curtain rods because many of them only attach at the bottom, putting undue stress on the screw. This design is much more stable.We tested the extension on the rod even though we don't need it, and it worked very smoothly in and out.The finials (this word I know!) for the ends of the rod feel substantial. They aren't very decorative. I like the minimalist look but it might not be for everybody.I like this rod very much. I was thinking of using it in the guest bedroom but it is not going to fit the aesthetic. A place will be found for it.
